Abstract

The project titled “Packers and Movers” is designed using Active Server Pages .NET with Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2005 as front end and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as back end which works in .Net framework version 2.0. The coding language used is C# .Net.

The project deals with packing and moving goods from one place to another through online process. The main aim of this project is to make packing and moving process its registration, the transportation details, services provided by them are all been performed through online. This process are all been maintained by the administration.

The administration processes have a control over the registration, transportation, services. The registration process deals with the products details which are to been transported, customer’s detail, the date of packing, loading, unloading are all been included. In registration process itself, it deals with cost regarding packing, loading, unloading, transportation cost all been estimated. Through the registration process, the goods to been transported and its details, packing and moving details are all been get from the customers.

The transportation process includes the source and designation details, loading, unloading date are all been maintained. Transportation process includes the transportation details relates to source and destination, of the goods to be shifted. The service details include the services provided to their customers regarding the packing and moving process. The administration process which all includes transportation, registration, and their services and the feedbacks from the customers are all been controlled by the administrator.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

PACKERS AND MOVERS
The project titled ” PACKERS AND MOVERS” is designed using Active Server Pages .NET as Front-End and SQL Server 2000 as Backend which runs under .Net Frame Work 2005 in Microsoft Windows Operating System family.

The project contains the below main modules:

The home module is the main page of this system. In this page all modules link are available.
PROCESS MODULE
The process module contains the following three sub modules - Service Details

- Feedback Details
Booking Details
The Booking Details module contain three sub modules
- Customer Details
- Item Details
- Charge Details Customer Details
The Customer Details Module maintains information about customer for
packing and moving. It contain information about customer code, from address, to
address, phone number, booking date , delivery date , packing date and credit card
number details of the customer. Item Details
In this item module contain information about furniture details, electronic details, automobile details and kitchen set details. Item Charge Details
In this module, admin calculate the item packing and moving details of the customers. It contains packing charge details, loading charge details, unloading charge details, transport charge details.
ABOUT US
The about us page contains the information of the organization such as branch details, transportation details, transportation cost details and customer details.
Service Details
The service details module contains information about provide services to our customers. Our services include Packing, Loading, Transporting, replacing and provide a Delivery details to the customer verification.
Feedback Details
The Feedback module is essential for a team to improve its performance. If the team doesn't get feedback, it has no objective measure to guide it.
EXISTING SYSTEM
In the existing system, all the works are done in manual. The packing and moving goods details which are entered manual from office itself. So the customer has certain difficulties to transfer their goods from one place to another place. It is also difficult to calculate and maintain the transportation charge, loading and unloading charge because everything done manual. Users work is tedious.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
The proposed system provides another way to packing and moving goods from one place to another place. In that, packing and moving goods from one place to another are done through online process. The main aim of this project is to make packing and moving process contain registration, the transportation details, services provided by them are all been performed through online.
